Friday June 15th is the day for the final performances for the drama club students involved in this years productions of “I Never Saw Another Butterfly” and “Cagebirds”.
We are excited that we have the opportunity to show the two plays the students have worked so hard to produce for the Regional One Act festival at the U of L in April.
The performances will run Friday evening from 6:30 till 9:00 p.m. in the theatre at the Remington carriage museum. “Cagebirds” will run first, followed by a 35 - 40 minute intermission for students to change sets and costumes. “Butterfly” will begin around 8:00 p.m and will run till 8:45.
Admission for the performance night will be $2.00 for students and $4.00 for adults. Note, both the plays are more suitable for teenage audiences as they carry some very dramatic historical material and a more mature humour. Pre-teens may not understand, or really be able to sit through the plays, but they are welcome. The capacity for the theatre is 83 permanent theatre seats, with a maximum capacity of 100. If you plan to come see the students perform, please arrive early to ensure you get a seat. Tickets will only be sold at the door, and they will open at 6:00 p.m.
